Smt. Sujatha Shyamsundar

Born in a family of music lovers , Sujatha  learnt carnatic music for about 13 + years from Mrs.G.V Jayashree , Miss.A.P.Komala and Dr Pallavi venkatrama iyer. She particularly enjoyed learning from her most favourite guru AP komala and used be in her class for hours and hours . 

 

Sujatha says “ Komala Aunty  was never strict and was a passionate , dedicated  teacher which greatly developed my interest in the art.I used to stay in the class for hours 

together  listising to others aswell . My mum has been really instrumental in encouraging my practices , getting opportunities to perform consistently without which I wouldn’t have been what I am . Every single credit of my music journey goes to my mum and Guru  “ . 

 

Sujatha has participated in a lot of music programmes since her school days and was also an active member of the school choir conducted by Dr.M.B.Sreenivasan

 

She also acquired  a 'B' grade in devotional music from AIR and was selected in Dr.K.J.Yesudas' voice bank.
