Smt.Rathika started learning Carnatic Vocal and Bharathanatyam at the young age of five. While she was doing her graduation in Business Studies, she won the title Miss Quaid-E-Millat for her achievements in music and dance from her university.
She joined Sun Television in 1993 and later Vijay Television. She has successfully hosted and produced various shows. Her passion for the Performing Arts continued under the wings of ‘Shivanjali – The Temple of Fine Arts’ in Chennai. She was fortunate enough to be able to enhance her Bharatanatyam skills under the tutelage of Smt Shyamala Balan. Under the able guidance of her Guru, she continued to perform in a variety of productions in Chennai. To this day, she continues to learn vocal from her sister, Smt. Renuka Shriananda.
